Clay Aiken- verbally abusive

Someone posted this comment on my blog. Unfortunately, it was cut off by the word limit set by Haloscan. If whomever posted this can post the remainder, I’m certain others will be as eager as I to read them.
The poster echos many of the same thoughts and comments that I have heard of and that I know about Clay Aiken. Here is the comment:
“I just recently learned of this blog, and there’s no hope of catching up, but in skimming through it and getting the gist of what’s going on, there’s something you should really know. In my job capacity, I have been on the fringes of Mr. Aken’s world for some time. I do NOT know him well personally at all, although I have met him several times in various meetings and arrangements. It appears many of you are not aware that it has always been known throughout our industry that he is gay. I doubt that any eyebrows were lifted over that – it seems to be the norm in this business. I hadn’t personally given it any thought – my business associate and closest friend (besides my husband) is gay and he is the most caring loving person I know.
And – there’s probably little doubt that Mr. Paulus’ story is true, as best he can remember (who among you can recount any situation in the exact order it occurred every time?). People hook up on the internet, both gay and straight. This is a fact of life in these times. Whether or not you approve or think it is immoral is beside the point. It happens everywhere. Not a one of my colleagues have a doubt about this encounter. It would be stranger if it wasn’t true.
It appears that Mr. Paulus did regret this situation getting out of hand, and with some crude exceptions in a few of his posts, appears to be a nicer person all in all than Clay Aiken.
But all of this is really beside the point. Where Mr. Aiken began to lose credibility and respect in our field is when his prima donna behavior began to surface. Contrary to popular opinion, the majority of major stars and celebrities tend to be down to earth and gracious to the business associates they deal with. Whether or not they actually feel it, and I think most of them do, it’s also in their best interest to do so. But stories began circulating early on about Clay Aiken’s propensity for being arrogant and demanding and generally hateful in his dealings with people who were trying to help further his career.
It became quickly apparent that he was very difficult to work with, and in dealing with people who had his best interests in mind. Until some of them said “enough,” and basically washed their hands of him. It is also true that some of the unpleasant “incidents” that circulated were carefully “explained,” denied, and/or covered up by his team. I personally witnessed one occasion where he was extremely rude only because a lowly assistant didn’t recognize him, and verbally abused her for not knowing who he was. She was very embarrassed.
I had heard that Clay Aiken had a large fanbase, but had no idea the extent of their blind ignorance of his attitude until a friend told me about this blog. It appears that he is very adept at presenting a glorified image and I find it pathetic that he is able to present himself in such a way that inspires such unwarranted devotion. I can’t imagine that too many fans will continue t….
