Liberals continue to lose their mind while seeking to control more aspects of our lives. Today, it’s being reported, that Senate Democrats want to give President Obama universal control over the Internet. The Senate bill would allow the President to shut down private sector Internet connections when he deems there is a so-called “cyber security issue”. Folks, this is getting dangerous.
Democrat Congresswoman Diane Watson spoke yesterday at a town hall meeting and praised Fidel Castro, calling him, ” one of the brightest leaders I have ever met”. The astonishing comments didn’t stop there. The Democrat boasted of Castro’s example of government health-care as one of the best in the world. Watson also praised how the Cuban revolution successfully kicked out the wealthy. Perhaps the Democrat should personally visit Cuba and take witness to the poor living conditions and low standard of living of this, once, robust jewel of the Caribbean. But, yea, they have “free” health-care and electricity, albeit 12 hours a day.
The madness of the Democrats doesn’t stop there. Today, it’s been learned, that the Chairman of the House and Ways Committee (tax writing) “forgot” to report $3 million in assets. Democrat Congressman Charlie Rangel, who last year forgot to report $90K in income is coming under more fire for the latest “mistake”. Rangel has no worries of losing his position as Chairman nor prosecution- only CIA agents doing their job to protect this country get investigated and charged. Had the Congressman blew a little smoke in the face of a constituent, perhaps he would find himself sentence to a few life sentences. But stealing and failing to pay taxes with a deficit of $1.6 trillion is really no crime. It’s forgetfulness.
Speaking of no punishment for misdeeds, the federal government has decided to halt looking into allegations that Democrat New Mexico Governor Richardson was involved in a “pay go” scheme in which he benefited. Reports are that the White House requested that federal prosecutors halt any further investigation into the Democrat. Richardson, visiting Cuba, was asked about the reports and commented that he, “didn’t want to talk about it”.
