So these are the final plans to mom’s house. This week is the finally week that she could make any changes to the floorplan and today, Mom made a few changes. She decided to make the upstairs study larger and replaced the screened in porch with a sunroom. She thought that having a sunroom would get more year round use than a screened in porch. Personally, I love the floorplan and craftman style. If you notice on the second floor, you’ll see there’s an additional 1,192 square feet of open space that can be easily converted to additional living.
Should the time come and my mother is unable to care for herself, this floorplan affords the opportunity to build out the attic space so that I can assist her and yet have my own space. But, that’s at least 25 years away.
