Last week, President Obama told Congress that he did not support health-care insurance for illegal immigrants. That statement instigated a “you lie” response from Congressman Joe Wilson. Well, it appears that Obama has found a way around providing illegals health-care coverage.
While out promoting his health-care plan, Obama told an audience of supporters the following.
“If anything, this debate underscores the necessity of passing comprehensive immigration reform and resolving the issue of 12 million undocumented people living and working in this country once and for all.”
In a time when our economy is struggling and legal immigrants and Americans are losing jobs or unable to find employment, is it really wise to reward law-breakers by giving them amnesty? Is it really wise to further burden our health-care system?
Obama and other liberals see this as an opportunity to build a larger voter block. The health-care system, economy, and jobs be damned.
