What a long day.  Early this afternoon, mom and I had to meet with the builder to discuss the exact location for light switches, cable, and phone lines.  We also had to go over some plumbing locations.  Mom’s putting a sink in the garage so that she can clean her gardening tools so she had to pin point the location of it.  There were some other plumbing issues regarding her washer and dryer location that need to be finalized.

This week they will be putting on the shingles, plumbing the house, running the A/C vents, and wiring the house for electric.  The builder is moving along at a great pace. On Tuesday, mom and I will be meeting with a designer to pick roofing and siding that will also be completed within the next week.  We are also going to choose appliances and the custom kitchen cabinets so that they can be built in time for installation.  Within two weeks, the builder is expecting to begin insulating and drywalling the house.  The house is really coming along nicely.  If everything goes well, the plan is to have my mother moved in a week before Christmas.   Now that would be one great Christmas present.
