It’s not often that I am wrong, but this time I am. After watching Adam Lambert’s performance again, I would have to agree with the consensus of my readers that his performance, while shocking, was poor.
The choreography was very busy and all over the place. I found myself looking all over the screen– left, right, up, and down… chasing him with my eyes. I think the performance would have been much better if there were less stage props, less sexual innuendo, and more focus on his singing with a couple of back-up dancers. His performance was more fitting for a Miami gay night club than an awards show. Then again, I’ve seen better performances at Salvation than Adam’s performance tonight. America is very forgiving and let’s just hope Adam doesn’t stumble again.
One silver lining for Adam, MTV named him best dressed of the evening. Only problem is, that won’t help him sell any more albums.
