GE pays 0 taxes, Goldman Sachs accused of fraud

It sure pays off to be a huge cheerleader for the Obama administration.  GE paid ZERO taxes last year on $10.8 billion of profit.  GE, the owner of NBC, NBC News, and MSNBC have blatantly supported the Obama regime.  One has to wonder if Obama will speak to their “obscene” profits while paying no taxes while he rakes Insurance companies over the coals. Story GE contributed to Democrats 2:1.  See chart

Meanwhile, Goldman Sachs Chief Executive Officer Lloyd Blankfein and President Gary Cohn wrote in a letter at the beginning of their annual report, “we support measures that would require higher capital and liquidity levels, as well as the use of clearinghouses for standardized derivative transactions.” Goldman, whose past CEO’s have been large supporters of Democrat candidates, is in a bit of trouble.  Today,  the SEC has accused Goldman Sachs & Co. of defrauding investors by failing to disclose conflicts of interest in mortgage investments it sold as the housing market was faltering.  The Securities and Exchange Commission said in a civil complaint Friday that Goldman failed to disclose that one of its clients helped create—and then bet against—subprime mortgage securities that Goldman sold to investors.  Is there a wonder as to why they are so eager to support Obama’s bank reform Bill? Story Bare in mind that Goldman Sachs donated to Democrats 3:1 over Republicans.  See chart

In the meantime, we’re still wondering why Obama and the Progressive Socialist Congress have not investigated nor held hearing with the CEO of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac who were the main causes of the financial meltdown.  Could it be that Democrats Chris Dodd, Barack Obama, and John Kerry were the largest beneficiaries of campaign contributions?

Democrat and their Progressive Socialist supporters are dirty and their enablers in the liberal media allow them to get away with it.  It’s unfortunate.  Will Obama show courage and call out GE, Goldman, Fannie and Freddie and demand that each be brought before Congress for hearings?  After all, if Big Oil has to be threatened shouldn’t Obama’s friends at those companies also be?
