It looks like Obama is on the move again and no, I’m not referring to his declining approval numbers. For the next three days, Obama will be crisscrossing the country raising money and campaigning for Democrats before heading to the elite playground of Martha’s Vineyard to vacation for two weeks. Yes, the president who has listed jobs as his top priority (CBS News recently reported that the president has listed several) and who promised to work tirelessly (which might be why he averages a vacation every 3 weeks) is going to rest and play with the rich and famous.
Obama did take some time today to let us know that the recovery will take a “few years”, somehow forgetting his administration’s early claim that we were in “recovery Summer”. Those of us who are more political savvy know the groundwork that this president is laying with this latest admission- “hey, I know that the presidential campaign begins in a few more months so I want it on record that I’ve been saying that this recession will be a few more years”. Let it also be on record that Republicans and economist have been saying that Obama’s Stimulus Bill and his economic plan would extend the recession not end it and it would appear that they were right.
It is my hope that Obama rediscover himself on this, his fifth vacation of the year, and recognize that liberalism and Obamanomics do not work and that he would fire his entire cabinet and fill it would conservative who actually know how to run a country and economy.
