I woke up this morning believing for a minute that I lived in Castro’s Cuba or Hugo Chavez’s Venezuela before I finally realized that the calls to investigate the opposition were in fact our Speaker of the House and third in line to the presidency, Nancy Pelosi.
In a radio interview regarding the opposition to the mosque location at ground zero, the liberal Democrat from San Francisco said , and I quote, “There is no question that there is a concerted effort to make this a political issue by some, and I join those who have called for looking into how is this opposition to the mosque being funded? How is this being ginned up?” Yes, fellow Americans, Speaker Pelosi wants to investigate fellow Americans who are opposed to the location of the mosque. Let me repeat, because there are Americans who oppose the location of the mosque at ground zero, our Speaker of the House wants to investigate who’s funding and who’s organizing the opposition. So after she investigates, what does she propose doing- putting them in jail? Isn’t that what happens in Marxist countries like Cuba, Venezuela, China, North Korea… what’s next, investigating those who are oppose to the Health-care Bill?
It is fascinating that liberals like Pelosi and Obama will cite the Constitution to support the building of the mosque, but somehow forget that the Constitution provides Americans with the right to protest without fear of being investigating. Someone must remind the Speaker that we still have freedom of speech, we still have freedom of association which is the individual right to come together with other individuals and collectively express, promote, pursue and defend common interests. Does she understand this?
And while Pelosi and liberal Democrats call for the investigation of those who are funding the opposition to the location of the mosque, they could care less as to who is funding the $100 million mosque project. As to who is funding the opposition, let me save Nancy some time and energy they are blue-collar workers, they are 9-11 relief workers, they are survivors of 9-11, they are family members of victims… I say to Nancy, “Go ahead and investigate, this will just expedite the death of the Democrat Party.
