You don’t need to tell me, I know… I’ve been away from my blog for a few days. I apologize, but I’ve been terribly busy packing and preparing for my trip to Seattle, Washington. Yes, I’m going to explore one of the most liberal cities in the US. Maybe I’ll be able to convert a few liberals.
My boyfriend and I will be arriving early Saturday and staying at one of the luxurious hotels in downtown Seattle. Nothing but the best for a celebrity and internationally renown blogger, right.
I’ve never been to Seattle and thought, why not escape some of this ridiculous heat and explore one of America’s more beautiful cities. Granted, Seattle was not immediately one of the first cities we thought about. Some of the contenders were Miami, Dallas, Phoenix, Austin, Chicago, New Orleans, and San Francisco. Mid-nineties heat quickly eliminated the warmer cities– we needed a reprieve from the heat. Plus, I’ve been to all but Austin. Chicago just seemed to…well, it simply brought up images of Obama that I just soon forget. And San Francisco… maybe next time- when Pelosi loses the House Speaker position.
So it was Seattle and my boyfriend and I couldn’t be more pleased about our decision nor could we be more excited.
We have many things planned during our trip. Of course, a priority will be hitting the hotel spa and relaxing in the sauna, unwinding in the jacuzzi, and enjoying a deep tissue massage. Ah, how I can’t wait for that. During the day, we’ll be taking in the sites of the city, sipping on Starbucks, visiting the downtown market, and enjoying the fresh Pacific air. At night, we’ll be hitting the various local bars and clubs. It should be a great trip.
I’ll post picture of my trip that you’ll be able to view in my Flickr account to the left.
If any of you live in Seattle and have some suggestions, I’d love to hear them… maybe we can meet at a local Starbucks for coffee talk.
