While Obama toured Europe last month the US economy worsened. Figures released today by the Labor Department shows that the economy added just 54,000 new jobs- far less than needed to keep up with the more than 150,000 who enter the workforce each month.
Unemployment rose to 9.1% from 9.0%. Some economist, however, believe that the unemployment rate is much higher believing it may be as much as 12% when considering those who have given up searching for work.
Republicans have worked around the clock on an economic plan that would encourage job growth and reduce ballooning deficit. Unfortunately, Senate Democrats and Obama have no legitimate interest in any plan that doesn’t include more radical ideas and pay offs to Democrat allies.
After 3 years we are in an Obama economy. He was elected, because he promised to have answers and solutions to our economic problems. Instead, his fly by the seat of his pants policy have only led to a stagnant economy, record debt, and rising unemployment.
