Back in 2009, the feud between the Fox News Channel and President Barack Obama’s administration reached its height. Then-White House Communications Director Anita Dunn publicly attacked the network on CNN, and former Fox News host Glenn Beck spearheaded an effort that resulted in the resignation of White House “green jobs czar” Van Jones.

That dust-up led to rumblings from the White House about excluding Fox News from the White House press pool, a notion the Obama administration promptly backed away from. But in the lead-up, the White House had some choice words for “Special Report” host Bret Baier. According to a press release from the watchdog group Judicial Watch, emails they obtained reveal then-Deputy White House Communications Director Jennifer Psaki, threatened to put dead fish in “the fox cubby” and also revealed Psaki calling Baier a lunatic:

“Regarding general anti-FNC bias within the Obama White House in an October 23, 2009, email exchange between Jennifer Psaki, Deputy White House Communications Director and [then-Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs in the Treasury Department Jenni] LeCompte, Psaki writes, ‘I am putting some dead fish in the fox cubby – just cause”. In an email on the night of October 22, 2009, commenting on a report by Fox News Channel anchor Bret Baier noting the exclusion of the network from the pool, Psaki writes to Compte and fellow White House colleagues, ‘…brett baier just did a stupid piece on it — but he is a lunatic’.”

“These people were some of the most hateful people I have ever seen,” said a distraught Glenn Beck this morning as he described an altercation he and his family had last night while watching a screening of Alfred Hitchcock’s The 39 Steps in New York’s Bryant Park. Explaining that a group of people yelled at his family, took pictures of them, and kicked a cup of wine onto his wife, Beck said that his security team feels that, had he reacted poorly, things might have “gone off.”

“I swear to you I think, if I had suggested, and I almost did, “Wow, does anybody have a rope? Because there’s tree here. You could just lynch me.’ And I think there would have been a couple in the crowd that would have.”

As President Obama shifts increasingly into reelection mode, he is feeling persistent anger and discontent from the left as well as the right.

White House Communications Director Dan Pfeiffer was heckled and booed Friday at the annual Netroots Nation conference in Minnesota, a gathering of liberal activists from the online political community. When Mr. Pfeiffer reminded the audience that the president championed an equal-pay law, the moderator replied, “Frankly we’re a little sick of hearing about that one.”

Less than 24 hours earlier, White House Chief of Staff Bill Daley heard heated complaints from business leaders about burdensome government regulations at a meeting of the National Association of Manufacturers in Washington. As Mr. Daley listened to tales of the administration’s unnecessary interference in industry, he replied, “Sometimes you can’t defend the indefensible.”

Mr. Daley’s comment prompted some backtracking by White House spokesman Jay Carney.

“You have to understand that he [Mr. Daley] went in there with no prior knowledge about the cases that were put before him,” Mr. Carney told reporters. “But obviously the [examples] that sounded bad, he thought, you know, sounded bad, and he said so.”

The president’s uneasy relationship with the business community has endured since the beginning of his term. But as Mr. Obama has traveled the county recently to speak at Democratic fundraisers, the president also has acknowledged that liberal supporters may have grown disillusioned with his leadership.

“It’s not as cool to be an Obama supporter as it was in 2008, with the posters and all that stuff,” Mr. Obama told Democrats at an exclusive fundraiser in Miami on Monday. “But the values that motivated me haven’t changed, and I hope they haven’t changed for you, either.”

To another group of donors in Miami, Mr. Obama said, “There have been frustrations, and I’ve got some dings to show for it over the last two and a half years. But I never said this was going to be easy.”

While various liberal groups are unhappy that Mr. Obama hasn’t done more for gay rights or withdrawn troops from Afghanistan, the weak economy is at the forefront of the unrest. A CNN/Opinion Research Corporation poll released June 8 gave Mr. Obama a 48 percent job approval rating, down six percentage points from a survey in late May.

Administration officials contend that criticism from the Democratic base will be helpful ultimately.

“When Glenn Beck and John Boehner and Mitt Romney attack us, we expect that,” Mr. Pfeiffer told the Netroots conference. “And sometimes when our friends attack us, we get frustrated. It doesn’t mean it’s the right thing to do to get frustrated. We want you to push us.”

Added Mr. Carney, “Some of the accomplishments that the president can claim in the first two and a half years meet with approval in that [Netroots conference], and broadly beyond that. The fact that people are pressing for more to be done, whether it’s in business or in that [liberal] community, that’s the nature of our public life here. And it’s why the president says … we have much work to do.”

But as the president has tried to energize supporters, implicit in his remarks is the danger that fewer people from his 2008 army of volunteers will feel motivated to work for him in 2012.

“You’re going to have to knock on doors,” Mr. Obama told a rally in a more-than-half-empty concert hall in Miami. “You’re going to have to talk to all your friends and neighbors, and you’re going to have to talk to the naysayers.”

Not surprisingly, none of these signs advocating for Socialism or for the overthrow of the Democratic government were shown on the major network news programs nor were they featured on CNN or MSNBC.

They say that pictures speak a thousand words and while liberals are infamous for trying to convince us that our eyes and ears are lying to us, let me attempt again to draw a comparison between liberals and Conservatives by publishing these pictures of how the liberals left the National Mall after their failed rally:

For all of his laughed mouth boasting, the Progressive Rally last week was a real bust.  Let’s think about this, the Progressive Rally had more than 200 liberal groups ranging from teachers’ unions, labor unions, Planned Parenthood, SEIU, HRC, GLADD, etc. organizing and helping to put this thing together and it was a complete failure.  The pictures tell the truth.

CBS reported that 87,000 people attended Glenn Beck’s “Restoring Honor” rally.  Yes, 87,000!  If you ever wanted evidence of media bias, that’s a perfect example.  Of course many of us knew that there would be liberal outlets who would claim that there was less than the anticipated 100,000 no matter how great the number.  Look at the pictures above and you be the judge.  Of course liberals would love to tell you that your eyes are lying just like they infer how your ears lie when told the truth.   Ask yourself, if the liberal media will lie about attendance numbers, what else do they lie about?

ABC News couldn’t completely lie.  No, instead they reported that “thousands” attended.  Not “tens of thousands” or “hundreds of thousands”, simply “thousands”.

Liberals would also want you to believe that this was a “white rally”, but the black speakers at the rally will tell you otherwise.   It is not the fault of Glenn Beck or the organizers of “Restoring Honor” if Blacks chose to give into liberal intimidation or succumbed to the liberal propaganda machine and stayed home.  It’s been reported that Al Sharpton was only able to draw a crowd of a mere 2,000-3,000 people, most of whom were Black.

The reporting by the liberal media illustrates just how low and unreliable they are and have become.  They are nothing more than an extended mouthpiece for the Democrat Party- failing to report the Democrats’ unethical behavior, their breaking of campaign promises, the true cost of health-care, the failure of the Stimulus, the full suffering of the economy, the failure in Afghanistan, the failure of Obama’s foreign policy, his inability to broker an embargo on Iran and North Korea, and much more.  The Democrat Party have failed the American people and so have the media.

You know, there used to be a time when people were considered innocent before they were proven guilty… well, that was before the Obama administration came to power.  Heck, one year ago tomorrow Obama called the actions of the Cambridge police department “stupid” before he had all the facts and two days ago… well, the Obama administration fired Shirley Sherrod before they had the facts.

The White House is calling this a “teachable moment”.  I’m encouraged.  Perhaps the White House will get all the facts about the Arizona Immigration Law or about the Tea Party before it jumps to conclusions and makes false statements- I’m thrilled about this “teachable moment”.

In an effort to save face, the NAACP and the liberal media are blaming the hasty firing of Shirley Sherrod on Fox News.  In fact, Shirley was told that she needed to resign, because she would be on Fox’s Glenn Beck show that day- she wasn’t mentioned by Glenn Beck until the following day when he defended her and insisted that the White House acted prematurely and should have gathered all the facts before it made a decision to throw her under the bus.

This, however, didn’t stop the mainstream media and liberal organizations from falsely accusing Fox News of instigating the firing.  I say falsely because Fox News didn’t mention the story in its broadcast until AFTER Shirley Sherrod was fired.  That’s right, Shirley Sherrod had ALREADY been fired when Fox News finally decided to cover the story.  So why would the mainstream media and liberal groups blame Fox News-  I suppose they needed a scapegoat to cover for the ineptitude and total incompetence of this administration and the leftist couldn’t possibly spin this one on George Bush.

This administration is such a damn embarrassment.  It’s frightening.  It’s still laughable that they forced a civil rights activist and a woman who overcame her own racism to resign because they feared that a tape of her at an NAACP meeting would be shown on network news program that they call “Faux News”.  So decisions are now made based on how scared the administration is and not on the facts.  Wow!  What a message this sends to the Iranians, the North Koreans… the terrorist.  How many days are left before we can get rid of this idiot and his administration?
