Does Harry Reid and his liberal cohorts in Congress get it?  36,000 lost jobs isn’t bad, but wait… 248,000 created in a month by Bush was terrible. I’m mean honestly, do these people have any integrity?  I’m so looking forward to the day when we have 3 lost jobs- Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, and Barack Obama.  Maybe then we can actually create real jobs.

A new congressional report released Friday says the United States’ long-term fiscal woes are even worse than predicted byPresident Barack Obama’s grim budget submission last month.

The nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office predicts that Obama’s budget plans would generate deficits over the upcoming decade that would total $9.8 trillion. That’s $1.2 trillion more than predicted by the administration.

So Obama’s budget creates more debt than all previous Presidents since the founding of our country.  Yes, this is the guy who promised to reduce the deficit, go “line by line” to eliminate waste, to veto any bill that had earmarks… I guess what he really meant by change was changing his mind.

The mainstream media and Democrats are up in arms over the above slide that was used in a recent PowerPoint presentation by the Republican National Committee.  I’m a bit confused as why they would be upset about it.  Do the mainstream media and Democrats have such memories as to forget the mockery of President Bush and other Republicans?  Did they forget this, and this, and this, and this?

The Republican party’s national organising committee was furiously backpedalling after an embarrassing document lampooning Barack Obama and other Democratic leaders as ‘evil’ was found in a hotel room.

The PowerPoint document, reported by the Washington news website Politico, was delivered by the Republican National Committee’s head of fundraising to a closed meeting of select party officials and major donors held in Boca Grande, Florida, last month.

In discussing how to motivate donors to give, a section of the presentation is headlined “The Evil Empire” and carries a picture of Barack Obama made up to look like Heath Ledger’s portrayal of the Joker in the Batman movie The Dark Knight. Democratic party congressional leaders Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid are also caricatured as Cruella DeVille and Scooby Doo.

Politico said that the 72-page document was sent to it by a Democrat, who found the original in the hotel where the meeting was held. on 18 February. Sources at the event said a presentation involving the document was given by the RNC’s finance director Rob Bickhart and finance chairman Peter Terpeluk, who was ambassador to Luxembourg under the Bush administration.

Last night’s victory was more than just a wake up call to the Democratic Party, it was the beginning of a revolution.  No, the revolution is not between conservatives and liberals.  The revolution I speak about is within the Democratic Party.  This revolution will be fought by the Pelosi wing of the party and the Liberman wing.  Yes, I know he’s an “independent”, but  not by choice.  It was liberals who tried to defeat him, because he put security of this country ahead of convenient political posturing.

I’m looking forward to this revolution in the Democratic Party not because I want to see the Democrat bloody themselves, but because I want to see the Democrats going back to putting the needs of the nation ahead of a vacuous ideology rooted in socialism and Marxism.    Sensible Democrats must wrestled control back from these people who attempted to turn our democracy into a Hugo Chavez style regime.  Yes, call that hyperbole, but that is the road that Pelosi, Obama, and Reed were taking us.

The revolution as begun already as a number of Democrats are calling for the health-care bill to be thrown out and not abandoned, but redone, not under the cloak of darkness or under the thumb of special interest, but with Republicans putting all option on the table to include Tort reform, and open competition.

The revolution continues as Obama’s socialist choice to head the TSA has withdrawn his nomination.  Radical liberals are being shown the door and told to exit.  If Democrats want to survive as a viable party it is they who have to change.  America didn’t vote against conservatism in 2008, they voted against Republicans who became too much like liberal Democrats.  America sent Republicans a message in 2008; don’t be like liberals.  Hopefully, Republicans have learned.  Conservatism can and will win.

1.  Ann Coulter asks Al Sharpton if he’s been asked not to use his “Negro Dialect” in the video above.  It’s a must watch!

2. David Paterson said remarks about Barack Obama attributed to Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., in a newly published book are “reprehensible”.  Finally, a Democrat who can speak some truth.

3.  Gasoline prices are soaring toward the $3 a gallon range.  If you recall, Democrats were demanding an investigation of Bush and Cheney and their ties to big oil when prices were in the mid $2 range.  Of course, that’s when we had 4.4% unemployment and the world economy was doing fantastic.  I wonder why gas is hovering at $3 with unemployment at 10% and the world economy is struggling.  Do you think that Democrats will call for Obama to be investigated? Double standard.

4.  Remember the tired old mantra the Democrats like to spew- Republicans are for the rich?  Well, since the Democrats have been in charge the UK Telegraph writes:

5.  So it’s official, Simon Cowell is to quit American Idol and head X Factor.  Sources confirmed to Hollywood Reporter exclusively that Cowell will quit the top-rated show on television at the end of this season as part of his plan to focus on launching a new series, “The X-Factor.” Fox has picked up “Factor” for the fall of 2011, when “Idol” is on hiatus.

Sen. Harry Reid said Republican Senate leader Trent Lott’s decision to relinquish his post Friday came as no surprise.

“He had no alternative,” the Nevada Democrat and Senate minority leader said. “Senator Lott dug himself a hole and he didn’t dig it all in one setting. He dug it over the years. And he couldn’t figure out a way to get out of it.” [...]

Lott’s resignation Friday culminated a controversy over his racially insensitive comments at Sen. Strom Thurmond’s 100th birthday party.

Lott said that Mississippians were proud to have voted for Thurmond in 1948 on the pro-segregationist Dixiecrat ticket.

Asked if the episode would serve as a warning to weigh his own words carefully, Reid said: “You play how you practice.”

“If you tell ethnic jokes in the backroom, it’s that much easier to say ethnic things publicly. I’ve always practiced how I play.”

So Reid has always practiced as he’s played?

Well, then maybe media members who hounded Lott until he resigned his leadership role in 2002 should reference what Reid said at the time and force him to practice as he plays now.

Alas, I wouldn’t hold one’s breath.

It was revealed today that Democrat Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid referred to Obama as “light skinned” and “with no Negro dialect, unless he wanted to have one”.  First, what is a “Negro dialect” and what exactly does the leading Democrat in the Senate mean by this?  In fact, what does being “light skinned” matter if liberals are colorblind.  Here’s an excerpt from the AP report:

The top Democrat in the U.S. Senate apologized on Saturday for comments he made about Barack Obama’s race during the 2008 presidential bid and are quoted in a yet-to-be-released book about the campaign.

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid of Nevada described in private then-Sen. Barack Obama as “light skinned” and “with no Negro dialect, unless he wanted to have one.” Obama is the nation’s first African-American president.

“I deeply regret using such a poor choice of words. I sincerely apologize for offending any and all Americans, especially African-Americans for my improper comments,” Reid said in a statement released after the excerpts were first reported on the Web site of The Atlantic.

“I was a proud and enthusiastic supporter of Barack Obama during the campaign and have worked as hard as I can to advance President Obama’s legislative agenda.” Continued…

The question remains, will the Democrats be as outraged with Harry Reid’s racially charged comments and force him to step down as they were with the benign comments made in 2002 by Republican Trent Lott ?  Somehow I doubt it.  After all, Pelosi and Reed are the puppeteers who control the strings of their “light skinned” president with no “Negro dialect”.

1.  “This was a screw up that could have been disastrous“, the President finally admitted.  Obama further went on to say that all signs were there and that this should never have happened.  Wow! Finally not blaming Bush?  Finally admitting what thinking people already knew?  When will the President also admit that the Left was wrong for releasing these terrorist and not keeping them indefinitely.  Fortunately for the terrorist, Obama promise to close Guantanamo in 12 months expires in less than 30– oh, wait, did he break that promise too?

2.  Remember Pelosi’s lie promise to have the most transparent Congress ever– to allow the American people to witness bills being debated and voted on?  Well, just like Obama and the rest of their liberal ilk, what they promise and what they actually do are completely opposite.  Pelosi is said to be holding secret talks with Reed and putting together the health-care bill in private.  C-SPAN, has grown concern, yes THE C-SPAN… and you know when that’s happens something is wrong.  C-SPAN is imploring Pelosi and Democrats to allow live coverage of the bill.  Pelosi is said to be firm in her determination to keep these negotiation private.  Kind of remind you of the stories you read about secret Nazi and Communist plots.  Yes, I said it.

3.  C-SPAN is not alone, the Washington Times writes, “It may be a new year, but congressional Democrats are planning the same old sorts of sleazy tactics in their bid to take over America’s health care system“.  Makes you wonder why the Democrats are being so secretive and not listening to the public.  Haven’t we heard about the “will of the people” for 8 years– does it not apply any more?  Oh, that’s right, liberals are the most intelligent people out there and know what’s best for their ill-educated plebeians.

4.  Exit stage right left.  Another Democrat calls it quits. North Dakota Democrat Byron Dorgan facing a stiff re-election bid has decided to retire from the Senate.

5.  The Obama foreign policy which is based on an apologist approach doesn’t seem to be having much affect.  Obama promised to “bring nations together” in a bid to stop Iran from building a nuclear bomb, but it seems China and Russia aren’t interested.  Both countries have told Obama to take a hike and have refused to impose any sanctions on Persian nation.

6.  Charges against Blackwater were dismissed when Judge Urbina ruled that the Obama’s Justice Department’s case had to be dismissed due a “reckless violation” of the defendants’ constitutional rights including their 5th Amendment right against being compelled to self-incrimination. The guards were told by the State Department that they would be fired if they did not tell their version of events and were told that what they said would not be used against them in criminal proceedings.  Yes, readers, this is the same Obama Justice Department that wants to try terrorist in our courts.  The one who wants to try those responsible for 9-11 in New York City.  What will the Obama Justice Department do when the judge throws out their cases… blame Bush probably.

- Senator McCain and Republican leaders are courting other Democrats who are upset with their party’s radical shift to the left and their Marxist agenda. Two Democrat Congress acknowledge that they’ve been approached by the Republican leadership, but have given reassurance to Pelosi and other Democrat leaders that they have no plans on switching their party.

- William Daley of Chicago wrote a warning in the Washington Post to Obama, “The announcement by Alabama Rep. Parker Griffith that he is switching to the Republican Party is just the latest warning sign that the Democratic Party — my lifelong political home — has a critical decision to make: Either we plot a more moderate, centrist course or risk electoral disaster not just in the upcoming midterms but in many elections to come.”  Hopefully, Pelosi, Reed, and their puppet Obama will ignore Daley’s warnings.  Read more here.

- The Senate passed their version of the health-care bill which doesn’t live up to Obama’s promises;  it raises taxes across the board, it leaves 8% uninsured, it’s funded through tax increases and not premiums, verification for illegals is weak, and it cuts medicare and medicaid.

- Fox is working with 19 Entertainment to order more seasons of the hit show ‘American Idol’.  People familiar with the talks say that Fox is committed to renewing the hit show for 3 or more seasons after the current contract expires in 2011.  The news comes just as rumors have been circulating that judge Simon Cowell may leave the show when his contract is up to focus on bringing his hit show ‘X Factor’ to the United States.
