I think hell must have frozen over.  Never in my wildest dreams would I expect a huge liberal like Mort Zuckerman to speak as honestly as he has about Obama, what caused the housing crisis, the truth about health-care, and the mess that Obama and the Democrats are causing.  As smart as Zuckerman is he still can’t figure out why Obama and his allies; Reid and Pelosi, are taking us down this path.  He still hasn’t realized that Obama is not a Democrat, but a Marxist-Socialist and that is why his actions make no sense to Zuckerman.

My liberal readers really should listen carefully to what Mort Zuckerman is saying.

Obama’s job approval has sunk to a new low with only 44% approving and 48% disapproving of his job performance.  Obama’s approval is one of the worst for presidents at this point in office.  Some experts predict further decay in his approval as unemployment remains near double-digit, foreclosures continue at a record pace, and the war in Afghanistan drags out.

Senator Harry Reid supporters were celebrating the nomination of Republican challenger Sharron Angle, believing that she would be easier to beat in the general election.  Those supporters may want to think again.  Fresh polling numbers show Angle leading Reed 50% to 39%.  Those are not good numbers for the Senate Majority Leader.

STOP THE F*%KING PRESSES!!!  Let’s go back just two years ago when Obama and the Democrats were calling for investigations of Halliburton, AIG, Citibank, Bank of America, Exxon-Mobile, Chevron, etc.- promising to prosecute these “criminals” who were guilty of “ripping off Main Street”, price fixing, unfair trade practices, deception… Now let’s fast forward to the present and…

1.  No investigations of Halliburton- In fact, Halliburton continues to be awarded no-bid contracts by the Obama Politburo.

2.  No prosecutions of any bank executives who we were told over and over again committed crimes.

3.  No investigations or prosecutions of any American oil company who we were told were “price fixing” and “engaging in manipulation of oil futures”.

4.  And what about AIG- do all of you recall Obama and the Democrats  promising to prosecute executives involved in the credit default swaps?  Guess what?  The US Justice Department dropped the charges.  Why? There was NO evidence of Joseph Cassano, who ran the financial products unit, and Andrew Forster, his deputy, of knowingly misleading investors about the company’s accounting losses on its credit default swaps portfolio.

Let me be clear, I’m not upset at all that we haven’t seen investigations of Halliburton, Citibank, Exxon-Mobile, etc. What I am upset about is how Democrats demonize these companies in an effort to gain political points and then either don’t follow through investigating these allege crimes or knowingly falsely accuse corporations of wrongdoing where none exists.

Sadly, with Democrats in charge, US corporations are considered guilty until proven innocent while Obama and Pelosi protect the rights of terrorist who they consider innocent until proven guilty.

(Reuters) – The U.S. Justice Department has dropped a probe of American International Group Inc executives involving the credit default swaps that sent the insurer to the brink of bankruptcy and forced a huge taxpayer bailout, lawyers for the executives said on Saturday.

The investigation had centered on AIG Financial Products, which nearly brought down the giant insurer after writing tens of billions of dollars on insurance-like contracts on complex securities backed by mortgages that turned out to be toxic.

The U.S. government stepped in with a $182 billion bailout to avert a bankruptcy filing by AIG.

The criminal probe had focused on whether Joseph Cassano, who ran the financial products unit, and Andrew Forster, his deputy, knowingly misled investors about the company’s accounting losses on its credit default swaps portfolio.

“Although a 2-year, intense investigation is tough for anyone, the results are wholly appropriate in light of our client’s factual innocence,” F. Joseph Warin and Jim Walden, Cassano’s lawyers, said in a statement.

Forster’s lawyers also confirmed the probe had been dropped.

“We were very pleased but not surprised to hear from the DOJ late yesterday that they were dropping the criminal investigation of our client,” David Brodsky, one of Forster’s lawyers, said in a statement. “In the end, the facts were stronger than the emotions surrounding AIG’s problems.”

The Department of Justice declined to comment.

AIG said in a statement it welcomed the decision’

The Wall Street Journal first reported on Friday that the two-year investigation, one of the highest profile of the various probes stemming from the 2008 financial meltdown, had been dropped.

The FBI and other government agencies had been looking into whether Cassano misled investors with overly optimistic forecasts about the extent of the firm’s exposure to securities backed by risky subprime mortgages.

Investigators were said to have focused on a December 2007 investor presentation at which Cassano played down the market value of losses on the credit default swaps.

Over the course of the next year, AIG took writedowns of more than $40 billion on the swaps and had to put up billions more in collateral to counterparties like Goldman Sachs.

Cassano resigned under pressure in March 2008 as AIG’s financial situation began to weaken.

3.  One week after the House passed the Democratic healthcare plan that President Obama subsequently signed into law, 54 percent of the nation’s likely voters still favor repealing the law.  The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey shows that 42 percent oppose repeal.  Those figures are virtually unchanged from last week. They include 44 percent who strongly favor repeal and 34 percent who strongly oppose it.
Repeal is favored by 84 percent of Republicans and 59 percent of unaffiliated voters. Among white Democrats, 25 percent favor repeal, but only 1 percent of black Democrats share that view. Click here to read more about the poll.

Does Harry Reid and his liberal cohorts in Congress get it?  36,000 lost jobs isn’t bad, but wait… 248,000 created in a month by Bush was terrible. A new congressional report released Friday says the United States’ long-term fiscal woes are even worse than predicted byPresident Barack Obama’s grim budget submission last month.

The nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office predicts that Obama’s budget plans would generate deficits over the upcoming decade that would total $9.8 trillion. That’s $1.2 trillion more than predicted by the administration.

So Obama’s budget creates more debt than all previous Presidents since the founding of our country.  Yes, this is the guy who promised to reduce the deficit, go “line by line” to eliminate waste, to veto any bill that had earmarks… I guess what he really meant by change was changing his mind.

The mainstream media and Democrats are up in arms over the above slide that was used in a recent PowerPoint presentation by the Republican National Committee.  I’m a bit confused as why they would be upset about it.  Do the mainstream media and Democrats have such memories as to forget the mockery of President Bush and other Republicans?  Did they forget this, and this, and this, and this?

The Republican party’s national organising committee was furiously backpedalling after an embarrassing document lampooning Barack Obama and other Democratic leaders as ‘evil’ was found in a hotel room.

The PowerPoint document, reported by the Washington news website Politico, was delivered by the Republican National Committee’s head of fundraising to a closed meeting of select party officials and major donors held in Boca Grande, Florida, last month.

In discussing how to motivate donors to give, a section of the presentation is headlined “The Evil Empire” and carries a picture of Barack Obama made up to look like Heath Ledger’s portrayal of the Joker in the Batman movie The Dark Knight. Democratic party congressional leaders Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid are also caricatured as Cruella DeVille and Scooby Doo.

Politico said that the 72-page document was sent to it by a Democrat, who found the original in the hotel where the meeting was held. on 18 February. Sources at the event said a presentation involving the document was given by the RNC’s finance director Rob Bickhart and finance chairman Peter Terpeluk, who was ambassador to Luxembourg under the Bush administration.

Last night’s victory was more than just a wake up call to the Democratic Party, it was the beginning of a revolution.  No, the revolution is not between conservatives and liberals.  The revolution I speak about is within the Democratic Party.  This revolution will be fought by the Pelosi wing of the party and the Liberman wing.  Yes, I know he’s an “independent”, but  not by choice.  It was liberals who tried to defeat him, because he put security of this country ahead of convenient political posturing.

I’m looking forward to this revolution in the Democratic Party not because I want to see the Democrat bloody themselves, but because I want to see the Democrats going back to putting the needs of the nation ahead of a vacuous ideology rooted in socialism and Marxism.    Sensible Democrats must wrestled control back from these people who attempted to turn our democracy into a Hugo Chavez style regime.  Yes, call that hyperbole, but that is the road that Pelosi, Obama, and Reed were taking us.

The revolution as begun already as a number of Democrats are calling for the health-care bill to be thrown out and not abandoned, but redone, not under the cloak of darkness or under the thumb of special interest, but with Republicans putting all option on the table to include Tort reform, and open competition.

The revolution continues as Obama’s socialist choice to head the TSA has withdrawn his nomination.  Radical liberals are being shown the door and told to exit.  If Democrats want to survive as a viable party it is they who have to change.  America didn’t vote against conservatism in 2008, they voted against Republicans who became too much like liberal Democrats.  America sent Republicans a message in 2008; don’t be like liberals.  Hopefully, Republicans have learned.  Conservatism can and will win.
