Tiger Woods’ former caddie Steve Williams said Thursday that he lost respect for his partner of 12 years when details of the golf superstar’s repeat adultery emerged.

The New Zealander, 47, made no public judgement as he stood by the 14-time major champion when he apologized for his widespread infidelities 18 months ago.

But a day after Woods made the surprise announcement that he had parted ways with Williams, the bagman admitted that he, too, saw golf’s phenomenon in a dimmer light.

“Well, I think when you’re great friends with somebody and a situation like this occurs, you obviously lose some kind of respect,” Williams told CNN affiliate Mediaworks.

Williams was unhappy to have been dropped by Woods and felt the decision was scant reward for his loyal service.

“I’ve stuck by him through and through,” Williams told 3 News. “Now he decides things aren’t going well for him, and I’m down the road, so the timing’s very disappointing.”

He suggested that Woods would need to work hard to rebuild their friendship.

“First of all, the person has to gain your respect, and that’s something that I feel Tiger has to work hard on,” he added, while confirming he will choose his words carefully when he comes to tell his side of golf’s most famous modern partnership.

“You know, when I write my book, it’ll be the time I decide what I write,” Williams said. “It’ll just be one of those interesting chapters in the book.”

Woods named no replacement during his announcement Wednesday confirming his split from Williams.

“I want to express my deepest gratitude to Stevie for all his help, but I think it’s time for a change,” he said in a statement on his website. “Stevie is an outstanding caddie and a friend and has been instrumental in many of my accomplishments. I wish him great success in the future.”

Woods missed the US Open and British Open due to left knee and Achilles injuries sustained at the Masters. It is still unclear when he will return to action, though he is slated for an appearance at a charity event Aug. 31.

Williams first acknowledged the split on his website and announced he will become the full-time caddie for Australian Adam Scott, whose bag he carried at the US Open.

“Following the completion of the AT&T National, I am no longer caddying for Tiger after he informed me that he needed to make a change,” the statement read.

Williams added, “After 13 years of loyal service needless to say this came as a shock. Given the circumstances of the past 18 months working through Tiger’s scandal, a new coach and with it a major swing change and Tiger battling through injuries I am very disappointed to end our very successful partnership at this time.”

Williams became best known in recent years for his run-ins with fans, particularly those who irritated Woods by snapping pictures during his swing. In 2002, at the Skins Game, Williams snatched a camera from a fan and threw it in a pond after the fan took a picture during Woods’ swing on the 18th hole.

Williams also sparked controversy in December 2008 when he said that he “hated” Phil Mickelson and called him a “pr*ck” at a charity event. Woods later called the comments “inappropriate.”

1.  The spinless wonder that is Barak Obama continues to demonstrat his weakness as a leader and commander-in-chief.  Today, Iran invaded Southern Iraq and has taken over some oil fields.  Our commander-in-chiefs representative stated, “there has been no violence related to this incident and we trust this will be resolved through peaceful diplomacy between the governments of Iraq and Iran.”  How weak!

2.  Venezuela’s Chavez received cheering applause by world leaders assembled for the global warming summit in frigid Copenhagen.  Meanwhile communist marched down the streets of the city in support of the climate accord– hmmm, and they’re trying to tell us this isn’t the back door to Socialism.

3.  Simon Cowell may be leaving the hit, ‘American Idol’ after next season to head of the American version of ‘The X Factor’.  Cowell has made a success of The X Factor in the UK and is credited with taking many of the creative decisions responsible for its success.  If and when he leaves that may be the end of my viewing days of the show.

4.  A drunk 4-year-old boy dressed in drag, beer in hand, is accused of stealing Christmas presents from his neighbors. The boys mother, April Wright,  says,  her four year old followed his father’s footsteps and was found on Blue Spruce Road, drinking.

5.  Tiger Woods’ trouble seems to be getting deeper as his wife is said to be filing for divorce.  Rumors have recently emerged that the golfer fathered a child back in 2003 with 48 year old Theresa Rogers.

1.  Well, it looks like Tiger Woods’ wife has given him an ultimatium– golf or me.  As much as it seems Tiger likes to get a hole in one, I have to wonder what choice he’ll eventually make.

2.  Those left wackos are at it again, this time telling us to eat less meat and dairy.  Is there any aspect of our lives that these people don’t like to interfer with?

3.  Let’s hear it for the Democrats that ripped into President Bush who, in 8 years, increased the debt by $2.9 trillion. After increasing the debt by $1.7 trillion in just 7 months, Democrats are requesting to raise the debt ceiling by another $1.8 trillion, putting their total spending to $3.5 trillion.

4. More and more Americans are yearning for the days when Bush was President.  44% of Americans said they’d rather have Bush than Obama as President.

5.  Remember the uproar the media had over Governor Sanford’s trips to Argentina and whether taxpayer money was used? Well, Democrat  Senator Max Baucus , chairman of the powerful Senate Finance Committee, gave a nearly $14,000 pay raise to a female staffer in 2008, at the time he was becoming romantically involved with her, and later that year took her on a taxpayer-funded trip to Southeast Asia and the Middle East, though foreign policy was not her specialty.  Do you think liberals and the leftist media will be just as outraged?

The magazine ‘Playgirl’ is determining whether or not photos that they’ve received are, in fact, Tiger Woods.  Once authenticated, Daniel Nardicio of Playgirl has said they will make a decision on their value and determine if they will purchase the photos.  In the meantime, all prime time advertising feature Tiger Woods have been pulled.

My sources are telling me that the Woods’ newly drafted prenuptial agreement has the golf star coughing up $300 MILLION should the couple split. Elin is said to have agreed to stay with Tiger with the condition that the prenuptial agreement be substantial enough to cause Tiger to think twice before cheating again.

Also being reported by the Sun Times:

• Also, don’t look for Woods’ wife, Elin, to be moving out of the couple’s Windermere, FL., mansion anytime soon. The links legend’s spouse is reportedly being paid a hefty seven-figure amount — immediately transfered into an account she alone controls — to stick with her husband.

On top of that, my source indicated Elin Nordegren Woods, the mother of Tiger’s two children, has demanded — and is getting — a total rewrite on the couple’s prenuptial agreement making the incentives for her to remain Mrs. Tiger Woods even more enticing.

At this point, the couple needed to remain married for 10 years in order for Woods’ wife to collect a splitsville settlement of $20 million. I’m being told that time frame has been shortened — and the dollar amount increased “substantially.”

• Perhaps most important of all, the Woodses have already begun intense marriage counseling — at their home — with a counselor who has been conducting sessions several times daily.

More trouble for Tiger Woods as women line up to claim affairs with the golfer. RadarOnline.com a celebrity news website, reported that several women had come forward claiming to have had sex with the billion-dollar golfer, including one who purports to have “explosive” answerphone recordings.

Tiger Woods has since put out a statement admitting “transgressions”:

I have let my family down and I regret those transgressions with all of my heart. I have not been true to my values and the behavior my family deserves. I am not without faults and I am far short of perfect. I am dealing with my behavior and personal failings behind closed doors with my family. Those feelings should be shared by us alone.

Although I am a well-known person and have made my career as a professional athlete, I have been dismayed to realize the full extent of what tabloid scrutiny really means. For the last week, my family and I have been hounded to expose intimate details of our personal lives. The stories in particular that physical violence played any role in the car accident were utterly false and malicious. Elin has always done more to support our family and shown more grace than anyone could possibly expect.

But no matter how intense curiosity about public figures can be, there is an important and deep principle at stake which is the right to some simple, human measure of privacy. I realize there are some who don’t share my view on that. But for me, the virtue of privacy is one that must be protected in matters that are intimate and within one’s own family. Personal sins should not require press releases and problems within a family shouldn’t have to mean public confessions.

Whatever regrets I have about letting my family down have been shared with and felt by us alone. I have given this a lot of reflection and thought and I believe that there is a point at which I must stick to that principle even though it’s difficult.

I will strive to be a better person and the husband and father that my family deserves. For all of those who have supported me over the years, I offer my profound apology.

Never before has a speech by President Barack Obama felt as false as his Tuesday address announcing America’s new strategy for Afghanistan. It seemed like a campaign speech combined with Bush rhetoric — and left both dreamers and realists feeling distraught.

Looks like the Obama magic has disappeared quickly.  Much different when you actually have to govern.

The whole “Climate Change” scam is beginning to unravel as leaked emails and documents show that the information on global warming was concocted by leading leftist climatologist in what is becoming the largest scam in history.

Professor Ian Plimer condemned the climate change lobby as “climate comrades” keeping the “gravy train” going.

When I first heard that Tiger Woods was involved in a car accident shortly after 2 in the morning I said to my mother, “sounds to me like he and his wife must have gotten into an argument”.  Rumors are still circulating and are being fueled by the Woods’ refusal to speak to police.  Here’s what we know from TMZ:

Tiger Woods did not suffer facial lacerations from a car accident. They were inflicted by his wife, Elin Nordegren — according to a conversation Woods had Friday after the accident.

Tiger has yet to be formally interviewed by the Florida Highway Patrol — that should happen this afternoon. But we’re told Tiger had a conversation Friday — with a non-law enforcement type — detailing what went down before his Escalade hit a fire hydrant.

We’re told he said his wife had confronted him about reports that he was seeing another woman. The argument got heated and, according to our source, she scratched his face up. We’re told it was then Woods beat a hasty retreat for his SUV — but according to our source, Woods says his wife followed behind with a golf club. As Tiger drove away, she struck the vehicle several times with the club.

We’re told Woods became “distracted,” thought the vehicle was stopped, and looked to see what had happened. At that point the SUV hit the fire hydrant and then hit a tree.

We’re also told Woods had said during the conversation Friday he had been taking prescription pain medication for an injury, which could explain why he seemed somewhat out of it at the scene.

I hate to think that Tiger cheated on his wife, but where there’s smoke there’s fire and the tabloids normally get these types of scandals right.
